Learning Latin is a noble journey that will allow you to converse with many extraordinary people from the past, to see and explore the world with different eyes. Or just enjoy poetry.

"Domi" (at home), "humi" (on the ground), "Romae" (in Rome) are examples of the so-called locative case, which designates the place where someone or something is.

Verbs pertaining to archery to be distinguished are: "sumere" - pick up, "intendere" - to draw, "dīrigere" - to aim, "contingere" - to hit. "Sagittā contingere" - hit with an arrow. The ablative (sagittā) is used to answer the question "with what are you performing the action?"

Two #Roman glass dishes, decorated with vivid spiral patterns & stripes around the edges. The colours are so vivid & eye-catching, almost hard to believe that these dishes are 2000-2200 years old! #Archaeology #AncientGlass
