Battery storage has been a standout performer in California ISO this spring. With over 7 GW of discharge at the peak (+100% since 2023), batteries are reshaping the grid dynamics.

We have a paper out in Science Magazine today showing how new guidelines allowing for income weighting in federal cost-benefit analysis would affect the social cost of carbon.
