The Academy is deeply saddened by the heartbreaking news this afternoon of Naomi Judd's passing. With her daughter Wynonna, the Judds won the ACM Award for Top Vocal Duet 7 consecutive years, as well as the ACM Pioneer Award more recently at the Academy of Country Music Honors.

The Academy remembers Mickey Gilley. Gilley won 5 ACM Awards in 1976, including trophies for Top Male Vocalist, Album of the Year for Gilley's Smoking, and Entertainer of the Year. In 2005, he was presented with the ACM Triple Crown award.
