Nice! I know it's impossible to capture all the early works, but I personally like to highlight Ken Freeman (1970: Appendix A(c) of ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1970ApJ...… who makes it clear from the rotation curve of NGC300 there must be missing matter (using data from ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1967AuJPh.…))

I put some slides up on my website I made for a mini lecture on some aspects of magnetic field growth and the turbulent dynamo — take a look (astrojames.github.io/notes/) if you’re interested! Incomplete, for sure, but I will be adding more to the lecture over the year.

Might human and artificial intelligence (AI) have more in common than you think? In their creation of language, for example. Terry Tao improvises in his Oxford Mathematics Public Lecture. Watch the full lecture: youtube.com/watch?v=_sTDSO…

This ESO image of the central parts of Centaurus A reveals the parallelogram-shaped remains of a smaller galaxy that was gulped down about 200 to 700 million years ago.

“Who cares convection, we care”, haha, convection, overshooting, rotation mixing, mass loss, it reminds me of something ten years ago at NAOC, interesting.
