THREE DAYS: Since our open letter to Wigan Council and PLP and there has been no contact or concern from either party. You can read our letter here: instagram.com/reel/DOa0xHgCK… Is it acceptable for our community to live like this?

Have you heard about our fight against the approval of 4 monster warehouses in Astley? Approved by Wigan Council without an environmental impact assessment and with a wholly inadequate consultation process from Peel Logistics Property? Whistl are due to move in a few weeks time

Today, I’m heading up to Wigan to speak to residents, who claim not to have had a public consultation about THIS monstrosity built literally on their back gardens.

Apparently planners thought this small amount of vegetation (that will of course takes years to grow) would be adequate enough to cover the 60 foot industrial warehouse… Astonishing. Speaking with residents shortly, will bring you their thoughts unfiltered tonight.

Hello Wigan Council please can you pick up the phone to us or just respond RE why the council thought an Environmental Impact Assessment was not needed on this? Our own privately advised assessments shows that this should never have gone ahead without an EIA… keen to understand

Alex Armstrong AstleyWarehouseAction That representation is not reflective at all of the reality of the impact it has caused. The warehouse is 30m away from my house with no bund (mound) whatsoever. This reality of this development was miss sold to the committee.

An explosive and damning report from Alex Armstrong on @gbnews last night. Alex & his panel looked into the decisions Wigan Council made to make these monstrous 60ft Astley warehouses a reality. You can watch it in full on their YouTube: youtu.be/QYqEzoJSrBg?si…

There's got to be a documentary on netflix⁷ about this because you just could not make this up....it's an incredulous story but its not a story, its real life. This needs to serve as one of those planning quotes "has Astley due diligence been adhered to" so any future monumental
