Two roads in Bristol have been closed today (17 May) as part of the response to the ongoing demonstration and counter-protest. St Augustine's Parade and Colston Ave have been closed and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route. This is as a safety precaution.

Former police officer Mitchell Curtis, 34, has been jailed for more than three years after being convicted of criminal offences. Curtis was found guilty of controlling and coercive behaviour, intentional suffocation & criminal damage, following a trial.​ orlo.uk/32DPn

A life sentence, with a minimum term of 15 years, has been handed to a woman who killed her husband, Henri Kekkonen, in Baltonsborough last year. Christine Kekkonen, 37, was convicted of his murder in November and sentenced today (23 May). orlo.uk/05faX
