Just had the most uplifting afternoon. Invited by #YoungBAFTA and Place2Be to visit a school in Walworth that’s named a classroom after me. I lived in Walworth as a kid, so it was special to meet students & teachers. I love where I’m from. Honoured to be recognised this way. ❤️

We were delighted to visit Surrey Square yesterday with the wonderful Ashley John-Baptiste! It was amazing to see Ashley having a classroom named after him in the area he grew up 💛

Looks like Reform UK need to educate themselves. This is a Reform cllr calling children in care “evil”. Children in care face the greatest disadvantage of any group in society. This kind of stigma on top only makes things worse. I won’t hold my breath for an apology…

Very chuffed to win an award at the BASW Journalism Awards this evening - for our BBC Radio 4 doc on the children deprived of liberty. It was hard work but felt v necessary. Dedicating this to the 3 young ppl who shared their stories with such courage. ❤️
