A fabulous start to some Roy Lichtenstein inspired artworks from one of my S2 Creative Skills classes - I can’t wait to see these when they’ve had colour added!

Is there a better feeling than getting a display of beautiful work up before the holidays…? My S1s have stormed through our Wee Beasties project, finishing it up with some fabulous jewellery designs (and I want to wear them all!) 🐞🪳🪲🪰

We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming Gavin Oattes to Craigmount High School this morning to talk to staff as part of our in-service day. A brilliant start to the new term and reminder to channel our inner Mary Poppins, plant trees we’ll never see and focus our energy to #BeTheMilk 🌟

S1 Art Club started today, and I think we’re going to have even more new recruits next week after spending the hour making these amazingly eye catching posters to go up around school! All S1 pupils welcome on Tuesdays, 3:45-4:45 in the Art dept 😁🎨✏️

My Wider Achievement class have been exploring various techniques this week after learning about @rankinphoto’s ‘Destroy’ project. It’s amazing to see all the different ways that one group of pupils can approach the same task! Which of the famous faces used do you recognise…?

On Friday we had a staff wellbeing focus as part of our CAT afternoon and I was making scones! The session was expertly led by Mrs Coull and Mrs McLaren and the scones tasted great in the end 🎉

Our bird project took a wintery twist over the last couple of weeks, with S1 classes creating some beautiful paper collage robins! Amazing job recreating the texture and colour seen in the robin photos they were working from ❄️

It was Christmas jumper day today Craigmount High School - amazing effort from everyone and lots of money raised for Forth 1 Cash for Kids 🤩
