Since the spring #flowers are in full bloom, we thought it was fitting to celebrate with #VincentVanGogh’s #Sunflowers series. Kindergarteners at Meadow View created these tiles using #VanGogh's #impasto technique & put them all together in the spirit of his stunning #masterwork.

Grade 6 students at Jackson Middle Sch learned about their Concept on #Culture & created beautiful #installationpieces to adorn the outdoor spaces on part of their campus. The #ArtfulLearning team spent a fantastic day at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art last week with ArkansasArtsAcademy! They explored curated #MasterworkExperiences inspired by Sol LeWitt by employing #colorwheel & #colortheory knowledge using #ColorAid paper to create & assemble an #artwork. Take a look!

We’re reeling from our packed day of ArkansasArtsAcademy's #ProfessionalLearning at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Teachers were tasked with building #sculptures using #Twisteez wire inspired by #Chihuly, #Asawa, #Butterfield, & #Bourgeois works. Each piece’s use of colors and shapes is simply exquisite!

Our final #Masterwork Experience at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art was extraordinary because it involved the museum's stunning architecture by #MosheSafdie. Inspired by his conceptual #sketch, ArkansasArtsAcademy teachers employed #QuickDraw to capture the intent & elements of such a monumental #creation.

We had an amazing time with #WestClaytonElementarySchool during their Level 1 training with #ArtfulLearning! Although it's only the beginning, we can already tell that this is a special group of #educators & we can't wait to see what the future has in store for them. Take a look!

Based on the #Concept of #Relationships, #Unidos educators thought about people who changed their viewpoints on something. They used #natural materials to create the #shapes & #lines that represented their special person by putting them in a picture frame with UV-sensitive paper.

Attended AFI FEST's Closing Night of MAESTRO Film, a captivating film on Leonard Bernstein's life. Bradley Cooper directs & stars alongside Carey Mulligan. Hosted by Netflix at @ChineseTheaters, with Jamie Bernstein providing insightful context. A night of cinematic brilliance!

Happy #Friday! We're looking at how #educators at West Clayton Elementary School used #GridDrawing to recreate #ElizabethCatlett’s #WarWorker. This #strategy develops the eye through #observation & rewards the participant with the end product of a beautiful #portrait or #picture.

Happy Friday! #UnidosMiddleSchool's staff looked at opportunities to use artistic processes like #Suminagashi to connect with their Concept of Relationships. It's a great way to explore different concepts like #Relationships, #Transformation, #CauseAndEffect, #Process, & #Change.

HAPPY #FRIDAY! Did you miss us? With relation to their school wide concept of #transformation, ArkansasArtsAcademy was tasked with creating copper panels using the #repoussé technique. We think this Masterwork Experience was a major success & we hope you all enjoy these beautiful examples!

As we enter the weekend, we're highlighting the exceptional work of West Clayton Elementary's staff. They implemented the "Elements of #Art & Principles of #Design" by using multi-colored construction paper, scissors, and glue to recreate familiar scenes from classic #fairytales.
