Merchiston Castle School, in support of the Army in Scotland, hosted the first of a series of three Kermit Roosevelt Lectures (KRL).  This year’s speaker was Chief of Staff US Army, General Randy George. British Army Senior representatives were MS and GOS, GofEC and Comd 51X.

Yesterday I visited Larkhill for the transition of Joint Helicopter Command into Joint Aviation Command. More than just a name change this is a vital part of British Army 🇬🇧 modernisation, with Uncrewed Air Systems at the heart of JAC.

My warmest congratulations to General Dame Sharon Nesmith on her appointment as Vice Chief of the Defence Staff. General Sharon has been a brilliant DCGS, and is a superb choice for this role.

80 years since the Battle of Monte Cassino ended, a moving and memorable visit today to the Abbey at Monte Cassino, accompanying HRH the Duchess of Edinburgh. Together with The Chief of the General Staff we toured the Abbey and spoke to the Abbott before the Polish ceremony to mark the anniversary

Today was General Sir Roly Walker’s first chance to meet his staff in Army Headquarters, Andover. He took the opportunity to thank them for all their work supporting the transition.
