A team of 24 Scots Guards are preparing to depart to Alaska where they will climb the highest peak in North America: Mount Denali. Denali (within the Arctic Circle) is one of the coldest peaks in the world with temperatures reaching as low as -60°C! #ArmyAT #ExTartanGlacier

Today Leo Docherty opened The Army AT Centre’s new wing in Brecon. Commander 160th (Welsh) Brigade said “This wing, in the home of the Army in Wales, is optimised to train our people in AT which is central to the Army’s philosophy to deliver challenging training & leadership development.”

The Army Gliding Association are on a 3 Week AT Expedition to Sisteron France. The Alps offers an exceptionally challenging environment for Soldiers and Officers. Instructors are familiarising for 2 weeks, prior to being joined by Foundation Students in week 3!

A British Army team commemorated the 80th anniversary of OP GROUSE & OP GUNNERSIDE by completing the arduous insertion route undertaken by the 'Heroes of Telemark' raiding party. Carrying bergans 20kgs+ at temps reaching -19°C, the team trekked 137km over 6 days, unsupported.
