He tries to gently grab their wrist as his hair is pulled on. “I can show you my place of work, but you have to stop pulling on my hair, deal? What if you ripped it out of my head, then what?”

“That’s fair. Okay, let’s go then!” He smiles at them before walking out of the house and towards his work. He’s not sure why they would want to go there. It’s something to do, he supposes.

“I don’t, actually. Not yet.” They arrive at his work and he looks around. He’s not sure where they want to go. Maybe he should bring them to older Hange’s work area. He starts heading there.

“Not yet. Someday, and someday soon.” Moblit just stares when they walk into the room and he sees the state that it’s in. It’s a wreck in here, what happened? He walks over to the desk and looks to see what’s on it. “Oh, hey! This could help!”

“That’s exactly what it means.” He gives them a little smile before picking up the sheet that’s sitting on the desk. This is wonderful, now he can get them back to normal. He goes to set Hange down. “I can change you back into an adult with this.”

“Why wouldn’t you? You’re not supposed to be like this in the first place. Besides, your older self knows the secrets of the world — like the question you just asked!” He starts following the instructions that are written on the sheet of paper.

“You think so? You can freely say bad words, though, and you can do many things that you can’t do at your current age. Appealing, right?” He finishes going through the instructions and shifts his attention to Hange. “Ready?”

Moblit looks at the beaker of liquid before looking back at them. Perhaps it’s older Hange’s subconscious that made them say that just now... “You should. This isn’t how you’re supposed to be. But, hey, now you can return to this form whenever you want, right?”

Moblit watches Hange return to their adult self. When they ask what happened, he gestures to all the papers on the floor. “Looks like you were experimenting... You changed into a child for awhile there. You’re lucky you had already made instructions on how to reverse it.”
