Following a meeting of members of Lewy Body International it has been decided to introduce a World Lewy Body Dementia Day on the 28th January 2024.  This date was chosen as it is the birthday of Dr Lewy.

Dementia with Lewy bodies, DLB, the second largest form of neurodegenerative dementia, is more common among men. Our work on Alzheimer drugs that may slow cognitive decline in dementia with Lewy Bodies has been published! We found long-term beneficial effects of cholinesteras inhibitors on cognition in these patients. Huge thanks for the wonderful collaboration.
