That’s a wrap on #ASMicrobe and also the literal wrap on the mini micro poster. Really happy with how awesome and kind everyone was. Thanks to everyone who came by, asked questions, answered the survey (got some good, expected data) and signed the poster 😊

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since we started publishing our first papers! Thanks to Christina Cuomo for giving a wonderful summary at #ASMicrobe of year 1 for Microbiology Spectrum.

I feel ancient. Successfully changed by modem/router to bridge mode and set up Made by Google. Hoping for fewer issues when I call into work. #workfromhome #WFH

Only two more days!!! 👋 In the lead-up to our symposium, we want to highlight two brilliant researchers who will give the keynote lectures. Today, we introduce Jonathan Kagan, who will talk about 'Initiation and Regulation of Innate Immunity’ on Wednesday. I agree. It is important to wait and see what comes out of the experiment. There are clear challenges and I am sure eLife - the journal's leadership has thought them through. There might be unforeseen challenges as well. Not a reason to start opposing it before it has started.

Had a wonderful time speaking with @mariajguerreiro from eLife - the journal and Adrianna Borgia from ASM about Open Editorial Boards. A huge thank you to the team behind Microbiology Spectrum, particularly Christina Cuomo, the journal's EIC. Thank you ISMTE for the opportunity.

No magic fix that I possess. It makes the field less intelligible to outsiders! Even other molecular and cellular biologists.

There it is, very encouraging data showing that community-based approaches acting across institutions, like the Preprint Club, provide a supportive training ground for ECR to perform peer review and generate feedback found to be helpful by the preprint authors. Read it! It's free

Always enjoy reading Science Magazine in print. Was surprised to see this #typo. As the original Science Advances article says, PRC1 ubiquitinates H2A not H2B. I began to panic I had missed a major breakthrough.
