Approx. 17k NYSNA nurses at 12 NYC private sector hospitals have union contracts expiring on Dec. 31. However, management continues to resist when it comes to safe staffing, fair wages & maintaining quality health benefits. That’s why nurses have begun strike vote authorization.

Nurses don’t compromise in providing quality care for us & they shouldn’t have to compromise when it comes to being protected at work. There’s no reason they should have to strike for safe staffing, benefits, & fair wages…but if that’s what needs to happen, then let’s go!
