My daughter has to get to Sheffield today. She wanted to get the train but also planned for the inevitable disruptions given it’s the weekend and it’s cross country. Thank god we did. It’s beyond a joke how utterly unreliable our public transport is.

If Ukraine is forced to surrender its sovereign territory to Russia, it will be the greatest betrayal of a European ally since Poland in 1945. The UK must lead in Europe in defence of Ukraine. We cannot stand back and watch as Zelensky is bullied by Trump.

Are we seeing the start of a united Europe? I hope so.
