Next up is Amanda Patten: her interests are in information packaging constructions and their relationship to cognition, such as cleft constructions and copula inversion. She’s also interested in language change, and has recently started a project on the English constructicon.

Following on from Amanda, Florent Perek is presenting on his work on construction grammar and how grammar is represented in the mind: how constructions are learned and change over time. Previous work was on frequency effects but he’s now focussing on productivity and learning.
