Is there a @TCRWP graphic novel READING unit in 4th grade to accompany the graphic novel writing unit? Or, are there resources to support a graphic novel READING unit that you recommend Eric Hand ☮️?

Are there any #tcrwp staff developers that can help me with planning Reading for Life Unit, Bend II Session 11 lesson? Have some questions.

4th grade graphic novelists at work. 1st story maps then thumbnails. Then on to publishing. This #tcrwp unit is a favorite this year! So fun and still teaches necessary narrative skills. Thanks for all the tips Eric Hand ☮️! Central School

Thanks @Flipgrid for the awesome swag! I will be there with my pal Jodi Kroll rockin’ these shades. 😎 #FlipgridLive Not pictured but I wore my Flipgrid T-shirt today to school and 1 student said, “Flipgrid sells merch?! 🛍 Where can I get one?” He was pumped! 💪🏼

Great time listening to @JakeMillerTech talk about Educational Duct Tape at #PanSTEM conference. 1 big takeaway- use technology to solve a problem or meet a goal, not just for the sake of using technology. 👍👍

I just posted a project on DonorsChoose to add culturally diverse books into my #4thgrade classroom library. I need more books in my classroom to represent the culturally diverse students I teach. I'd love your help to bring my project to life: donorschoo.se/e/PLDkUmQFZhb

Shared a little something over on my @letmeknowhowitgoes insta account and thought some here would appreciate. Looking for ways to support the concept of “show don’t tell”? Try a version of this game and #letmeknowhowitgoes #tcrwp #writing

The 21-22 school year is off to a great start! During the 1st week of school, 4th graders built their brain🧠 muscles💪🏼 by learning the difference between fixed vs growth mindset. Poster is displayed in the room as a reminder when things get tough. Central School

Tip Tuesday! When presenting in Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Keynote, press B on your keyboard to pause and show a black screen. Press W to pause and show a white screen. Pressing any key resumes your presentation.

Before beginning bend 2 of the UTL Narrative Writing unit, 4th graders explored series books by reading many #Poppleton books by #CynthiaRylant. Next step? Compare/contrast books to learn how series authors develop characters, setting, and problems. #tcrwp Central School

While tutoring yesterday, we went through all of the student’s stop and jots while reading. Then we sorted them to determine what he’s already doing as a reader and what he can continue to think and jot about. Great way for students to see the process of goal setting. #tcrwp

Happy to see real-life collaboration this year among students. A perfect example of what Turn and Talk or Turn and Teach looks like. Modeling is key (even from students). Visuals help! #tcrwp #turnandtalk #4thgrade

Today was a “catch up” day in WW. The ML was basically asking “Who can find the chart that…?” And sending them off to write. Bonus? I conferred with so many writers! @TCRWP

4th grade students as teachers explaining what they’ve learned about their extreme weather research topics. Students learned to use an explaining voice and pointing finger to teach. Each teacher’s students took notes on what they were learning, too! They rocked it!! 👩🏻‍🎤🧑🏾‍🎤 #tcrwp
