Pam Churchill (6th grade at Green Elementary) takes her lessons VERY seriously. For a World Cultures lesson, students had to pretend they were ship wrecked on an island. Mrs. Churchill went all out by dressing as a pirate. Priceless! 🏴‍☠️ #AhoyMatey

I stopped by the Allen STEAM Center Center today and saw David Ben-Yaakov, computer science teacher, leading his students today in an engaging lesson. Computer code is a foreign language to me, but our students grasp it so quickly!

Did You Know: The Allen ISD Finance Department has received the “Debt Obligations Star” from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for exemplary efforts in creating financial transparency around public debt.

We are heartbroken. Marion Principal Brooke Cherry passed away earlier today following a private battle with cancer. Mrs. Cherry was beloved by the students, parents, and staff members at Marion and across AISD. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Cherry’s family.

January is School Board Recognition Month, and our STEAM Ambassadors and Ag Mechanic students created wonderful wood and steel gifts using CNC Machines. Thank you to these students for using their time, effort, and creativity to create these tokens of gratitude for our Board.
