Bad take IMO. After so many years of productivity with AOP, then returning to simpler constructs (e.g. golang), I've come to the conclusion that the main problem with AOP is that it's too complicated of an abstraction for most people. Like, they can't even get with inheritance.

Programming meanwhile is undergoing a huge upgrade in productivity tooling, bigger than IDEs
