Daire Lynch must have great reserves of energy. Today the 22-year-old single sculler made the semi-finals at the World Cup in Lucerne by taking third in his quarter-final - his second race of the day. Last weekend he put in a fine challenge at the Olympic Qualifier.

Clubs have always decided on the leadership of Rowing Ireland with great success, a change is now being proposed to remove this power.If some of the proposals before the AGM are passed this will no longer be the case. The reasons being given for these changes dont exist.
