Celebrating 2024 tonight with Alison Pennington and Mary Kelly (Former Equity Director, QUT). Alison is inspiring - there is ‘hope’ for ‘Gen F'd?’ - also her 📖 title on how young Australians can reclaim their uncertain futures (and also for the rest of us) Queensland Unions.

Nice passage from Alison Pennington's compelling 'Gen F'd?' Australia's different minimum wages depending on age has always puzzled me, other countries seem to get on fine without it and it creates perverse incentives for firms to drop off hours offered as you get older.

I've been reading Alison Pennington's 'Gen 🤬' this summer and it's SO. GOOD.

As someone under 35 and therefore in the 'F'ed Generation', I defs recommend people grab a copy!

For fellow youths to understand why we're so F'ed, or for older gens to better grasp our situation.

Alison Pennington Australia Institute Holiday reading today!
I feel like buying a copy for everyone in my orbit : the despondent young, the elders who don't understand the situation, and the middle aged who've worked and rented their entire adult lives and can't see a way out.
Clear, succinct and powerful👏👏👏
