Bet y’all didn’t know this. 36 U.S. states set their “all-time” August monthly high temperature records before 1965. Of those, 33 were recorded prior to 1950. The press say the U.S. is experiencing unprecedented heat this summer. Data doesn’t lie, but journalists do.
