The issue is this:

The High Court requested an assurance from the US Govt that Assange will not be barred from First Amendment protection on account of his nationality

The US Govt provided an assurance that he will be able to argue

David McBride is a whistleblower. Today he was jailed for 5 years 8 months, with no parole for 2 years 3 months

He is the first person jailed in relation to war crimes in Australia- but for revealing them, not committing them
