A lot of good points here. An important addition to the discussion. #OpenScience #OpenResearch #MetaScience. For ECRs, remember, all jobs have scut work. Academia is more open about it than others (like industry). This allows open discussion about it.

It's not that ideas require lots of subplots. It's that fancy journals have restricted word and figure counts (why?!). People are trying to put 20 figure (with 4 panels each?) papers (not unreasonable for a serious piece of scientific work) into 4 figures for the GlamourMag.

Question for science twitter. Anyone use the Intan recording system? How do you sync video and other signals to it? We have a hacked together system (that does work) that I really want to clean up. #neurophysiology #Intan.

A. David Redish (RedishLab) 5/ This is an exciting time for both philosophy of science and neuroscience. By working together, we can make significant progress in understanding how the brain works and how it gives rise to our minds. To learn more about our work, please see our eletter jneurosci.org/content/43/7/1…

New updated preprint available. arxiv.org/abs/2306.03162. Led by the amazing Ugurcan Mugan. How different navigation theories interact with spatial complexity, and then tested on a hippocampal and dorsal striatal dataset.
