Our work on txns-meets-BI, led by Dixin Tang (now faculty UT Austin), was selected for a "best of VLDB '23" special issue — here's the blog post version. TL;DR: BI tools still don't handle updates very well, opting to show stale results or spinning wheels: we can do better.
