On behalf of LiUNA we call on Minister Stephen Lecce to revoke anti-union legislation and restore the collective bargaining rights of CUPE Members and act in good faith to reach an agreement that prioritizes both keeping students in school and the rights and respect of all workers

Workers have the freedom to strike. It is protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Using the notwithstanding clause to suspend workers' freedoms is a travesty.

In 2011, tvdsb EAs started at $20.26. In 11 years they've received a $1.79 increase to $22.05!!! Minimum wage in 2011 was $10.25. Today, it's $15.50. So EAs went up 8.8% and minimum wage went up 51.2%. Add this to the explosion in violence and here we are! #cupe #onted

Some students do not have devices at home. Some students do not have reliable access to the internet. Some students do not have a safe/quiet space to work. Some students have needs that prevent them from learning via devices. We need a plan for ALL students in all boards.

So the minister of ed won’t go before the labour board. And apparently instructed daycares to not extent hours for people that need child care. For the people.

I want to thank CUPE Ontario for standing up for my kids, their Charter Rights and their education.

When Doug Ford introduced Bill 124, he trampled the Charter rights of nurses, health-care professionals, and all public sector workers. Bill 124 has been declared unconstitutional, but Ford is still trying to deny those rights. Let's send him a clear message: NO APPEAL!

How much has this Ford government spent on legal fees to address their own illegal acts? Bill 28, Bill 124, LTC negligence? To spend money on anything but what they are suppose to spend money on, tearing environment, education, & healthcare systems apart. When does it stop?
