The Master and Clerk of Actuaries' Company are very grateful to the The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights and WCO BARBERS for their great hospitality this week. Great to meet some 50 other Masters and Clerks in such great surroundings.

We Actuaries' Company had a wonderful day ar The Goldsmiths' Company last night, We admitted 4 new Freemen and our charity made a donation of £5k to an actuary, Saida Chakkor, for her fantastic work with the Luton Council of Faiths. The dinner that followed, 150 of us attending, was super too
Thank you Brandon Horwitz for your fab talk on emotional intelligence for mathematicians. He also discussed his work as a qualified actuary. A volunteer from the fantastic Actuaries' Company (Worshipful Company of Actuaries), Brandon spoke about the merits of being an actuary.
Fascinating lecture by Professor Edward Kosior as guests of Horners Company at @royalsocietyofmedicine on the importance of proper plastic recycling for the environment and climate. Challenging. but solutions available. And who knew that biodegradable plastics were a BAD thing!

Master @actuarycompany at the opening of Temple Bar gates into the City today. Masters were joined by Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King and others.
Three of us from Actuaries' Company spent last night sleeping out in Guildhall Yard with the Lady Mayoress to raise funds for the homeless Lord Mayor's Appeal and The Pret Foundation. A real experience and we can assure you that the sooner the homeless are off the streets the better!
Informative lecture hosted by Chartered Accountants' Livery Company thanks to Richard Master Chartered Account - delivered by Michael Moore on the importance of Private Equity and Venture Capital finance - not just to the City, but the UK as whole. And a very convivial evening with fellow Masters and others.
