A wonderful year learning about Baalbek's Temple of Jupiter in Lebanon, Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, microbiology and nanobiotechnology at Cambridge, the Kailash Kora in Tibet, the Mar Mattai Monastery in Iraq and Tainan's history during the Qing dynasty.
