I just ordered my home birth kit and my goodness are things feeling REAL. We are due in a month. A MONTH Y’ALL.

We are at the point in our pregnancy that if I make any exclamations whatsoever Randy thinks I’m going into labor.

Me: “I need a new tv show”- gets tired of browsing & starts The Office for the 5th time. Finishes said show & repeats process until New Girl is started for the 3rd time, HIMYM for the 3rd time and Gilmore Girls for the 6th time. There’s no question whether or not I’m predictable.

What drives the desire for other mommies to feel they must, MUST offer unsolicited advice to new moms? News flash... what works for your baby may not work for mine! Advice is wonderful, especially from good sources but gosh ask if you can offer it first. 🙄

Postpartum hair loss is annoying sure, but what drives me bonkers is jumping every time I think there’s a spider/bug on my bare shoulder, arm, back, etc. only to see it’s just another hair 😂

When life gets to be too overwhelming, remember you are held and beloved by such an incredible God. There is a much larger and beautiful picture overall than what we can see in the current moment.

Windows open with a cool breeze coming through, sweet sleeping babe in my arms, Randy’s editing by my side, and I’m in my favorite pajamas. Even when times are tough there are so many blessings to be thankful for.

After calling to tell me some really great, answer to prayer news after a meeting Randy had- I told him to be careful on his way home. R- Don’t worry. I won’t “Matthew Crawley” it. Me- 😳😳😭 TOO. SOON.

You’ll never know if people really want you to thrive and flourish until you begin to thrive and flourish. That’s when hearts are revealed. If someone can’t celebrate what God is doing in and through you, they were never really for you. Move on.
