if you’re surprised UTMB partnered with ironman, acknowledge what opportunity in sport has given us historically. I want more people to be able to run ultras without having to sit on waitlists or lotteries for years and years. this sport is too special to keep behind a gate.

also, what makes UTMB a cool event is what a big deal it is! you don’t show up to UTMB looking for a low-key grassroots vibe. of course, if that’s not your cup of tea, there are plenty of amazing trails out there to explore.
