Another successful Literacy Cafe! ☕️📝Students have been working so hard on their Nonfiction Chapter Books and got to teach their families all about their topics!

Students are investigating how animal body parts help them see, hear, move, and eat! 🦆🐯🐠

My personal PD goal this year was to make independent reading more engaging. I've been giving my students a task that links the lesson's objective to their own reading. It's been amazing to see them so immersed in their reading!! 📚

Today, we used our sense of smell to guess scents. Some guesses included pears, vinegar, and even stinky socks! 🧦 We can't wait for Science tomorrow to discover what the scents actually are! 👃

We had the best time on our field trip to the Chicago Botanic Gardens today! 🌵🪴
