First tweet in a long time to say that today I received the mother of all “bulletin bloopers” in an email, and it’s both the single most hilarious thing I’ve ever read, and also it’s a tremendous shame that I can never share it publicly, and I’m truly sorry about that.

Thank you, God, for the gift of the life of Timothy Keller (1950-2023). Thank you for the sure and certain hope (and now Tim's reality!) of heaven. Thank you for the resurrection. I can't wait to meet Tim Keller in heaven one day.

"But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him." (Psalm 4:3) How wonderful to know that we are not only set apart *by* the Lord, but "for" the Lord.

"Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress." (Psalm 4:1) It's good to remember God's past faithfulness in past distress, to remind us that he's faithful in our current distress.

"Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!" (Psalm 4:1). God answers us - not because of our goodness - but because of his righteousness.

"There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!" (Psalm 4:6). God answers that prayer by shining his light upon us in the face of Jesus Christ.
