Thanks to the North Shore for having me back as your councillor. I’m proud to be the highest polling councillor on the Shore again, with the highest vote tally in Auckland this time around. Please read my long post here: facebook.com/share/p/17ADSF…

Not necessarily the best result for me personally, but I am so, so stoked for the result our team got in Waitematā! 5 seats is amazing! Esp proud of Caitlin! Will see if anything changes on Monday for me, but either way, some great stuff will be happening in the next 3 years.

There were 67,347 votes cast in Auckland on Saturday, up from approx 64,000 in 2022 Thinking there will be more specials as well than the 6,500 in 2022 (of which only like 4,500 or something were eligibile)

Preliminary results just dropped with no change in outcome, really stoked to see our turnout at 48% with the special votes still to come

reporting online non-scientific polls as news discredits our entire profession, and gives ammo to political actors who seek to discredit real polling.

In addition to this, we’ve gained the Albert-Eden LB (winning a seat in Maungawhau for the first time since 2016) and Puketāpapa will come down to 58 special votes. In addition to already flipping the Waitematā LB. Enormously proud of all our teams

Ngl pretty stoked by this result. Huge effort by the City Vision team esp given I couldn’t knock a single door & there was a misinfo campaign. Won back control of 2/3 local boards and held even in the third. And look at that stonking 3rd place for AEP from Jon Turner 💚❤️

Apparently theres over 10,000 special votes... up from about 6,500 in 2022 About 4,500 were accepted in 2022 so I think theres still room to shift in a few Local Board races! (see Puketāpapa)
