The BitVM2 paper dropped today and we’ve got questions. So we’re bringing on Alexei Zamyatin to discuss BitVM2 and cover how it can improve bridging protocols for L2s and more. Scheduled for next Tuesday. Set your reminders below 👇 x.com/i/spaces/1ypkk…

The latest Ark release brings new features and improvements, including covenant-less Ark implementation, offline payments, client SDKs, MutinyNet support, and substantial enhancements to our codebase and documentation. arkdev.info/blog/ark-relea…

The best possible emulation of OP_CAT covenants is pre-multi-signed transactions with a 1-of-N honesty assumption. In both cases we're back to the 1-of-N honesty assumption. That will be the best security assumption for a long time. (3/3)

I agree with all but the last point of this from Robin. The last point is weird. The space incentive changes from CAT is the same as the space for TXHASH+MERKLEVERIFY+CHECKSEPARATESIG. It's silly to call out CAT specifically here. Which feature or combo is a concern and why?

„My goal isn't to argue for or against op_cat, but to debunk these misconceptions and steer the discussion toward a more fact-based, rational analysis“ 👏👏👏

the 2024 meta of bleeding edge of Bitcoin Script technique continues to evolve: optimization tricks for non-native finite field arithmetic 🥸 w/ OP_CAT you can verify merkle trees in Script, this enables the creation of authenticated look up tables for arbitrary computations

The era we are living in is fundamentally different from the last 500 years. Cryptography is evolving into increasingly complex and exotic forms. Anonymous applications are being built that were never before possible. In a mere three decades we have witnessed the rise of p2p

petertodd.org/2024/covenant-… “Soft-Fork/Covenant Dependent Layer 2 Review" I've finally published my big article, sponsored by fulgur.ventures, analyzing the main covenant proposals, and the new L2's that would use them. tl;dr: Ark is pretty cool, and CTV is a good way to get it.

It has taken literally years for existing threshold based Schnorr signing and key generation schemes to get to the point where they are proven mathematically secure.

This is an excellent intro to Shielded CSV 🛡️, recorded before we settled on the name of the protocol. It also goes a little bit into the relationship and differences between zkCoins and Shielded CSV.
