This video by The Royal Family made me cry. With gratitude (@uclh helped me through ) and with pride in NHS England and
Macmillan Cancer Support staff. From all of us who’ve been on the pathway, to all of you holding our hand, thank you.

I had such a wonderful day today with the first Bletchley Park veteran I ever interviewed, Ruth Bourne.

She has had counselling recently to help her adjust to a care home. Self improving at 98. ❤️

She is also in my next book. More soon on that front.

Brother calls. Why aren’t you tweeting about the collapse of the SNP.

Me. Because it feels like more rats-in-sack self-involved politics.

And we are all SICK OF IT. North and south of the border.

And precisely what are Reform UK going to do with Blackpool’s ‘Romany community’?

Round them up? Make them wear badges? Evict them?

Dangerously low politics

Today at Gunnersbury Cemetery in London, we paid homage to the 22,000 victims of the Katyn Massacre, brutally executed by Soviet authorities in 1940. This memorial underscores our commitment to combatting disinformation and ensuring the true history is remembered.

Smashed Sunday with a little help from the Normans.

Battle Abbey - the ultimate monument to war. But it’s the battlefield that is, nearly 1000 years on, a disconcerting combination of peaceful and fatal.

This got a lot of traction. As I would hope in a healthy democracy.

Just a quick note, when talking about titled royals I do like (just once in an i/v) to be credited with my DR title (PHD included royal imaging)

I neither inherited it, Nor paid for it. I worked for it.

Taking a primary school group to see a Victorian version of Boudica today.

Image 1/ London’s ironically imperial Boudica
Image 2/ Cardiff’s very domestic Boudica.

Imperial and domestic…just like Victoria.

'We need to stop referring to this so called holy grail that is impartiality.'

Historian and broadcaster, Tessa Dunlop, argues that the very ordering of news bulletins requires editorial and 'therefore can't be impartial'.

'Our schools and hospitals are crumbling, foodbanks are proliferating, and we're spending this amount?'

Yasmin alibhai-brown thinks Britain has more immediate problems to solve than strengthening NATO's position on the global stage.

'You are on the wrong side of history.'

Dr Tessa Dunlop disagrees with Yasmin alibhai-brown's objection to increased defence spending because it is a necessary correction to an extended 'hollowing out' of the armed forces.
