Awesome piece in JACC Journals on brain MRI lesions post-TAVR No analysis I can offer above Dr. Samir Kapadia editorial, but wonder why not/if studies have been done on long term eval? Especially as TAVR moves to younger populations, exec cognitive function is relevant right?

Awesome work in Circulation More support for MRAs. Gotta love papers that focus on benefits with good, affordable drugs we already have Also love the ongoing support for naming trials. MAGMA? Well done ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/CI…

It’s pretty wild how strenuously people will avoid paying $7/month on a subscription they somewhat value, then go to dinner and drop $100 without hesitation There’s gotta be some study on this, let me know if aware

Same pass rate as echo boards. 1/5 failing. Means 1 of 2 things (welcome thoughts): 1) The test is not reflective of the true knowledge base required to competently practice in the field 2) Programs nationwide are failing to adequate prepare trainees for practice Which is it?

Main takeaway from this highly debated chart: IM is still a great way to go And from there you’re got great options (but cardiology is awesome, obviously)

So 1st thing: Stop-or-Not is a top 5 trial name of 2024. Great name, congrats #ESCongress2024 2nd, major results for peri-operative management! No sig diff in outcomes as in figure, though ⬆️ in hypotension with RAS continuation (HR 1.31). Suspect this complicates things

FINE-ARTS #ESC2024 results very exciting. We really do have options for pts with HFpEF now, incredible Notable this was presented in Europe though. As a US provider, I’m tired of limiting my enthusiasm by a “How are we going to get this paid for” feeling Thoughts? Am I wrong?

Studying for #CardioTwitter boards: Not sure there’s a worse question than screening intervals. Can’t reason it, not really applicable to practice because you’d look it up in 2 minutes, just memorization Recs? How do you manage these? (I’ll be putting some things together soon)

Alright team, getting on the same page Infographic on screening & surgery recs for heritable diseases from 2022 ACC/AHA Aorta guidelines Making these for myself #Cardiology boards, but hope helps in general. Hopefully more of these to come Thoughts always appreciated
