Visiting the Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre in Krakow today - stunned by the quality of staff, facilities and treatment here.

If the NHS wants to learn how to deliver timely and efficient care, they should look to the Polish NFZ.

It's time to start thinking differently.

Wonderful evening last night with friends from across Polish oncology.

They can't believe our appallingly unambitious targets, even less so that they're routinely missed.

A 62 day wait from referral to treatment would not be tolerated in Poland.

Why do we accept it?

So every day as part of my recovery I have to walk 20 minutes a day. I normally walk round the streets where we live, but to change it up a bit we went to Tring yesterday which has a lovely high street and Black Goo. A great food place where we stopped for a spot of lunch.

I’m pretty sure I know which way this is going to go but, you always have a chance in a derby…don’t you?!!😎

Today is a big day. I’m 2 weeks post op and been at home 9 days. So I now have to walk 20 minutes a day. For today’s walk we went to Wendover popped in on @alittlebirdtoldmegallery and also bumped in Robin Boult for coffee and cake at @rumseyschocolates yum.
Now for a nap 💤😎
