South St. & 3rd Police District ofcs recently attended the Courtyard Mentor Networks “Family Day”. Ofc’s gave out water ice & Lt. Ricci spoke to parents about summer safety and curfew. Great opportunity for ofcs to meet families of the youth they have been mentoring for over a year now!
Last month one of our PPD 22nd District officers was severely injured while operating his police dirt bike. While he improves, his recovery is long. I’d like to thank Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation for their time & financial support to this officers family. Amazing work, amazing support.
Please consider donating! We will be collecting sports balls and bubbles to distribute to youth at various locations in the 3rd Police District on July 19th! You can drop off anytime at the 3rd district or the South Street Mini Station!

The 3rd Police District “Balls and Bubbles” event was a huge success! Thank you to all who donated! The kids were so happy and this helped bridge the gap between our youth and law enforcement. #YouthEngagment #PhillyPd #PhillyPolice #CommunityPolicing
The 3rd Police District South Street officers stopped by Mario Lanza Park to make sure everyone was safe for movie night. They also enjoyed watching some of the film on their lunch break! #PhillyPD #PhillyPolice #CommunityPolicing
