Yesterday, 5th July, the leadership of SW’24 staged an interface between the students of University of The Gambia and Management at Tendaba. This anticipated dialogue was a rear opportunity for students to directly present their concerns to Management together with possible solutions.

SW’24: ENTREPRENEURSHIP The Leadership of Students’ Week 2024 created a forum for #young and aspiring #entrepreneurs to have a panel discussion with some of the most hardworking entrepreneurs. The Panel Includes the CEO of ComiumGM, Jorjoh Ndure-Tambedou and other young entrepreneurs.

In our effort to protect our shores and improve our environment; Students of the University of The Gambia embarked on a mangrove planting and coastal cleaning exercise. This significant event was staged yesterday, on the 7th of July, 2024 at Tendaba, LRR. #SW’24 #DafDiBena

University of The Gambia Students’ Week 2024 Inter-Kunda Debate Competition–around the week’s theme “UTG in the frontline: Combating Drug Abuse, Climate Change, and Irregular Migration While Promoting Peace, Good Governance and Entrepreneurship for a thriving Gambia.”

SW’24: COMMUNITY OUTREACH Migration Integration and Peace Building Day, Students’ Week 2024.

We are glad to inform you that the #Rhodes #Scholarship Outreach Programme was successfully hosted at the UTG. Isatou M. Bokum, a Rhodes Scholar and the first awardee of the said scholarship delivered the lecture yesterday, July 17th, 2024.

The University of The Gambia Students' Union (UTGSU), successfully conducted a capacity-building training for the Finance Ministers and Auditors of all sub-associations in UTG. The training sessions were held on the 27th and 28th of July 2024, in Kanifing Campus.

The UTGSU is pleased to announce the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gomindz Academy, a data science institution in The Gambia. This significant milestone came into force today, the 2nd of August, 2024, through the Finance Ministry of the Union.

It is with delight and excitement that we announce that earlier on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, the Secretariat of the Union facilitated a capacity-building training session for the Secretaries-General of all Sub-Associations.

On the 28th & 29th of August 2024, UTGSU had the privilege of attending a two-day game-based training seminar at the MoBSE, Region 1. This event, organized by Girls’ Pride Gambia in partnership with the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives(CFLI). #GameBasedLearning
