Great news NHS England are investing £1.5m to support roll out of tech for sickle cell sufferers. The tech is among those supported by the MedTech Funding Mandate. A policy to help patients and the NHS benefit from clinically effective, cost saving tech faster and more equitably.

Today sees the launch of #PharmacyFirst across England, the first port of call for minor common conditions, which will help to save up to 10 million GP appointments each year.

Today the NHS is expanding community pharmacy services. You can now go to your local pharmacy for treatment for seven common conditions and they may provide some prescription medicine without you needing to see a GP.
