The Fosseway team is working on the canal wall, where the towpath and upper path merge. The wall slopes up towards the bottom of the ramp and then down again to the towpath level to create a level section for people coming down the ramp. #Lichfield #WeDigCanals

Yesterday, eight DofE volunteets plus five adult green team volunteers worked from lock 26, past Bobbie's Bend and up to Tamworth Road. They tidied the towpath border and two young volunteers used the strimmers on compound side of canal, under supervision.

Our Fosseway volunteers have started to extend the new canal wall by a couple of metres, so have extended the concrete foundation. They've also made good progress with the concrete infill and backfill and have pulled out most of the temporary sheet piling shuttering.

Since our Tamworth Road volunteers completed the gabions in front of the old lock keeper's cottage, they have been working on a new fence along the top.
