August 3 is the commemoration day of the Yazidi Genocide. The Yazidi genocide refers to the systematic persecution and mass killings of the Yazidi religious minority in Kurdistan by the Islamic State (IS). It took place predominantly in the Sinjar region a Kurdish town.
