On 1st August Poland will mark the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Today we also remember the Irishwoman, Eileen Frances Short-Garlińska, who participated as a nurse in the Uprising. Every year we lay flowers in her memory in the Katedra Polowa Wojska Polskiego in Warsaw
