Beavin wins the match with the Cats' 9th ace to give UK the 25-21 set three victory. That's the Cats' best win of the season against a team that has been tremendous behind the service line this year. The gauntlet schedule continues tomorrow as they take on No. 7 Purdue at 3:00.

DeLeye (15) and Wilson (10) led the way in kills tonight, and Tuozzo continued to impress at libero with 11 digs. Dailey totaled a whopping 7.0 blocks in the middle and Lamb came up with three aces. Grome finished with 38 assists. Terrific all-around effort.

No. 10 Kentucky just about ready for its third Top 10 matchup of the young season, this time coming against No. 7 Purdue. Boilermakers are a perfect 7-0 on the season. Going to be another good early test for the Cats.

Kentucky wins set one 25-21 behind what looks to be some TERRIFIC offensive balance. Lamb is up to 5 kills, Wilson has 4, DeLeye has 3, and Bultema has 2. Cats are hitting .302 as a team and have held Purdue to .216 hitting. Really good start.

Just about ready for first serve as No. 11 Kentucky prepares to take on No. 4 Louisville in the annual Bluegrass Battle. The serving game will be important tonight- Louisville uses two outsides in 6 rotations and two setters in the back row. Gotta take advantage of that.

Kentucky reaches 15 first holding the 15-13 advantage here early. Cats already with two aces and holding the Cards to .087 hitting. Gotta keep the serving pressure up. Wilson leading the way with three kills.

Craig Skinner calls for time as Louisville runs off a mini 3-0 spurt to take a 17-16 lead late in set one. Kentucky is getting good production out of the right pin and the middle thus far, but now the outsides are struggling. Gotta get Brooklyn and Erin going.

Skinner will burn his final TO of the frame as the Cards take a 23-20 lead late in set one. Kentucky struggling to get blocks or block touches right now, despite getting some relatively solid serves in play. Cats need to line up at the net a bit better and slow these swings down.

Louisville take set one 25-21 on a broken play that finds the floor on Kentucky's side. Cats only hit .133 in that frame and failed to record a block. Offense going to need to pick up here in the second. Wilson leading the way with 5 kills and DeLeye has 3.

UL wins set two 25-18 to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Bultema and DeLeye started to get some offense going late, but Kentucky dug itself too big a hole early. This team has been so solid blocking thus far this year, but tonight only have 2.0 blocks. Gotta get the block going.

Matches like these are the ones where Hannah Benjamin being out for the season and Asia Thigpen being out for the match really hurt. When offense is struggling, you usually go to your bench to generate a spark. But injury just doesn't allow that right now.

Kentucky gets us to the media timeout with the 15-12 advantage, but Charitie Luper goes down after rolling an ankle and it looks like we'll replay the point ? So it's actually 14-12...

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Now Louisville is challenging for a net violation on that previous play which was called as a replay. Which I didn't even know was legal.

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Cards hit the ball into the net and Kentucky gets us to the media timeout with the 15-12 lead. After all that delay, the score ended up being the same after all 😂

When Megan Wilson was at Oklahoma, she was one of the best servers in the COUNTRY. She's proving it right now, as she's served the Cats to a 4-0 run and a 17-12 lead and Louisville will call for time. This is that service pressure I said would be critical for this match.

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Brooke Bultema has been EXCELLENT tonight: 9 kills on 17 swings with only one error for a .471 clip. And she is SCREAMING for the ball on every play.

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Megan Wilson JUST misses a ball out and Kentucky will call for time as the Cards pull within two of the Cats' lead at 19-17. Kentucky playing better offensively and defensively in this frame, but need to close it out.

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Erin Lamb has struggled tonight, but she's come up big time in this third set when Kentucky desperately needed some offense. She finally gets that sharp cross court to fall and then dials up an ace to give Kentucky the 22-18 lead and force a UL timeout late in set three.

Hunter Mitchell (@hmitchell14) 's Twitter Profile Photo

That's more like it! Kentucky takes set three 25-20 with a big block from Bultema and Wilson on the right side. The difference that set was simple: Service pressure increased and the block improved as a result. Gotta keep making the Cards uncomfortable.
