My daughter has painted her Early Medieval-esque Govan school carving, 5 yrs after she carved it (as a 5yr old!). Reminiscent of ancient Greek key or swastika-like pattern utilised by numerous religions from antiquity including #Hinduism #Buddhism #Jainism #Greek #Roman & #Norse

A slo-mo celebration of the Govan Warrior, found by Stephen Driscoll during the UofG Archaeology and The Govan Stones ⚔🛡👑 volunteer dig in September 2023.

The The Govan Stones ⚔🛡👑 Sunstone, a Viking-Age carved stone from the Kingdom of Strathclyde. A socket on top suggests it had a cross head, or was part of a church structure. The stone's overall shape hints of the early medieval reuse of a prehistoric (Bronze Age?) standing stone.
