Over the weekend, we were upskilling. We had a caregiver training by the Alzheimer's and Dementia Organization Kenya on Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The resourceful training explored every aspect of the illness from definition, signs and symptoms, cause and management.

With the rising cases of Alzheimer’s and Dementia being reported, this training was a necessity for all. The young, the old, caregivers, therapists, medics and all social workers. Indeed they all attended to increase in knowledge.

Upskilling is the goal. Increasing in knowledge and skills for the betterment of society and self. The Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiver training concluded with the certification of 21 trainees by Alzheimer's and Dementia Organization Kenya

In partnership with the Chile Embassy Kenya,we donated 450 books to Kimathi and Dr. Livingstone Primary schools. The books will help in improving the knowledge of the students in swahili, whilst teaching them Spanish as the book is written in the 2 languages

In line with our commitment to SDG 13, Climate action, we also planted 7 fruit trees in these two schools. We have a responsibility to be the change we want to see.

And the day would not be complete without our volunteers who tirelessly worked to ensure the donation drive was a success. From planning right to logistics on the actual day. Team work indeed gets the job done. We celebrate you team!

As we gear up towards the breast cancer awareness month, part of our build up activities include awareness initiatives. This past Saturday, we had a public awareness session with The Luton Hospital and #Cancersoldiers

The more openly we have discussions around cancer, the more positioned and equipped we are to fight it, this is a fight for both the young and the old. Our collective effort will make a difference. This was a very interactive Cancer awareness session.

Being a caregiver to a cancer patient is not easy, we had Debra, who is a care giver to a cancer survivor share her candid experience, offer encouragement to other care givers, she also led us in a breast self-examination procedure. Let us be informed.

We have a greater voice if we speak up together against cancer!
