A brilliant 2nd place for our schools pipe pipe band today Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust - SSPDT Dumfries & Galloway Instrumental Music Service SWSPDA - well done to pupils from the 8 schools represented. What a marvellous day - entertainment and inspiration. 🥁

It is an honour for our SWSPDA D&G schools pipe band to be the 2024 recipient of this memorial award. Dumfries and Galloway Council Dumfries & Galloway Instrumental Music Service Mr Andy McCartney has made this happen for our young people after over 25 years of determined work to grow piping and drumming in D&G. Thank you Andy. ⭐️

Our ‘chief noisemakers’ Dumfries & Galloway Instrumental Music Service Dumfries and Galloway Council were out in force this afternoon- a showcase of talent and teamwork with our instrumental service.
So many young people involved over two weekends and performing to a full house . What a team of staff too ⭐️⭐️
