The new Wisbech Free School is on course to open in September.

It will open initially in temporary accommodation on the site of Thomas Clarkson Academy.

This means there will be sufficient secondary school places in Wisbech this September.

Our councillors endorsed a campaign calling for better labelling of allergens on restaurant menus on Tuesday (21 May).

The proposals would see food allergens named at the point of ordering without the customer having to ask.

Cambridge Central Library and the Cambridgeshire Collection will be closed on Wednesday 29th May from 9:30am-2pm for staff training. The library will be open again from 2pm until the normal close time at 7pm. No other Cambridgeshire library will be affected.

Recycling centres are getting busy from all those #spring and #summer time jobs in the home and garden. This means long queues. To avoid waiting, avoid peak times – 11am-2pm, weekends and bank holidays.

They can get crushed or damaged in bin lorries, which can lead to explosions and trigger rapidly spreading fires.
