CAF Rail UK Limited has extended its deal with Translink for maintenance of Class 3000 DMU fleet for a further 15yrs. CAF is also building an additional 56 intermediate cars for NIR, to cope with passenger numbers which have increased by 115% since 2004 (16m per year).

LNER is making train travel even greener. We’re announcing the order of a fleet of new tri-mode trains - with batteries that will reduce the need to use diesel when there’s no overhead power. The trains - being built by CAF - will complement our Azuma fleet.
